Hot tub maintenance is mostly focused on balancing water chemistry to ensure bathers stay safe and to ensure the bathing experience is enjoyable. Testing with test strips is fast and easy and adding chemicals to adjust takes a few minutes. At first you will find yourself testing more often as you get used to the process. After finding your feet, it is likely water is tested and adjusted twice or three times per week (depending on usage). On average this would be 15-20 minutes per week. The other important maintenance processes are filter cleaning and drain/refill. Both those processes take a little bit longer but filter cleaning is performed every 2-4 weeks and drain/refill every 4 months. A service plan can also save you time with drain and refill. No, you do not need a direct water feed. Hot tubs are filled with a garden hose. All you need is an electrical feed (which varies by model)

Yes, bromine or Aquablanc are alternatives to chlorine. It is important to note that Bromine does contain some chlorine and Aquablanc does recommend periodic shocking with chlorine. At Happy Hot Tubs, our preferred sanitiser is chlorine granules becuase it is cheap, very effective at killing bacteria and offers good control for the user.

Yes you can place a hot tub on an existing patio as long as it has a solid structure and is relatively level. If you are unsure, please book a free site survey where one of our experts can check the preferred site.

There are no stipulations when you purchase from Happy Hot Tubs to state that you have to get your hot tub serviced to ensure warranty stays valid. We do however recommend servicing with our in-house service team every 1 or 2 years to ensure components are working as they should.
