Do you require any other chemicals when using Silk Balance?
Yes, you will require sanitiser (bromine or chlorine) to be at the correct level (3-5ppm) and your PH to be balanced (7.2-7.6) before adding the Silk solution. You will also need to ensure your filters are kept clean and may require other chemicals from time to time depending on usage and the siutation with your water.
Start Up Instructions for New Spa / Hot Tub:
- Fill your hot tub with clean water and install filters and ancillary items as instructed by your dealer or manufacturer.
- Adjust water chemistry. Chlorine/Bromine to 3-5ppm. Alkalinity to 80-120ppm. PH to 7.2 to 7.6.
- Add 1 Silk Balance Gem weekly into the filter compartment or jet stream to dissolve.
- Enjoy silky, soft, odour-free, balanced water.
Previously Used Hot Tub
- Purge your old hot tub water with Clean Start (included in this kit).
- Refill your hot tub with clean, soft water and reinstall filters and ancillary items as instructed by your dealer or manufacturer.
- Adjust water chemistry. Chlorine/Bromine to 3-5ppm. Alkalinity to 80-120ppm. PH to 7.2 to 7.6
- Add 1 Silk Balance Gem weekly into the filter compartment or jet stream to dissolve.
- Enjoy silky, soft, odour-free, balanced water.
Dose Rate
Add 1 Silk Balance Gem once per week on the same day to maintain fresh, clean, clear, balanced soft water.
Always make sure your sanitiser level is 3-5ppm.
Caution
- Dry hands beforehandling. Gems dissolve quickly in water.
- Do not unwrap, puncture or pull apart the gems.
- Store in a room temperature dry environment.
