Happy Hot Tubs Filter Cartridge Cleaner has been specifically formulated for soaking your hot tub filter or cleaning your sand filter. This is a concentrated cartridge cleaner soak, helping to break down and remove any debris, stubborn oils or lotions within your filter. This will help maximise efficiency, keep your water clean and clear. Add and dilute our product in a bucket per the description (Amounts vary depending on size of bucket), allow to soak for 12 hours before removing and rinsing.

What is the difference between your filter soak and instant filter cleaner?
Filter soak will require you to remove and place your filter into a bucket of diluted solution over a period of 12 hours to break down any debris before removing and rinsing. Our Happy instant filter cleaner, you would simply remove your filter, apply our instant cleaner and leave for 15 minutes to break down any debris before thoroughly rinsing off.

Can I use my hot tub whilst my filter is soaking?
No, you should not use a hot tub without a filter cartridge in place. This will allow any debris to enter into your pump or heater which can cause clogging or overheating. You could have two sets of filters to rotate whilst one set is soaking.

How much of this filter cleaner do you need to use each time you clean a filter?

In a 5 litre bucket, you would use 250ml per soak. Adjusting that amount accordingly if the bucket size is different.

Directions for use

Directions for use with sand filters

  1. Backwash the filter, drain and isolate.
  2. Fill the filter chamber with water and correct dose of cleaning fluid. Allow to soak for 12 hours.
  3. Backwash thoroughly to waste for at least 2 minutes before returning the filter to service.
