Blue Horizons Chlorine Reducer is a chemical treatment used to lower high levels of chlorine or bromine in swimming pools, hot tubs and spas. It removes excess free chlorine or total bromine to bring the water back to a safe, recommended range for swimming. This is supplied in a granular form with full instructions provided.
Measure the sanitiser level of your swimming pool water, then calculate the total amount of Chlorine reducer required.
Split this total into 3-4 smaller doses. Apply each smaller dose to your pool water allowing time to thoroughly circulate (2-3 hours for commercial pools, 6-8 hours for domestic pools). Retest the sanitiser level between each dose and only add further doses if required.
Pre-dissolve chlorine reducer in warm water using a suitable clean plastic container. Stir well to ensure product is dissolved. Carefully apply to the pool water with the circulation running, preferably near to the water inlets to aid distribution.
