Used to shock dose swimming pools when opening or closing for the season or fortnightly shock treatment. This is also used as a patio cleaner by many and is very effective as a cleaner. When cleaning be careful as this is a strong product and could damage some surfaces so test in a small area to begin with.
Adjust the PH of your pool water to 7.2 before adding Sodium Hypochlorite.
For a routine fortnightly shock treatment add at a rate of 3.5 litres per 45 cubic metres (10,000 gallons) of pool water. For pools suffering from light algae infestation, add at a rate of 8 litre per 45 cubic metres of pool water. For pools with heavily infested algae, add at a rate of 15 litres per 45 cubic metres (10,000 gallons) of pool water.
For daily treatment add at a rate of 350ml per 45 cubic metres (10,000 gallons). Test pool water and re-apply if chlorine is below 1ppm.
Add to the pool directly over the return water inlets and leave filter plant running to ensure even distribution.
The product is very corrosive, always wear adequate protection when handling.
Wait until the chlorine residual has dropped below 5ppm before swimming.
