Happy Hot Tubs is at heart a family business who live and breathe all things hot and bubbly. After a lifetime working in hot tubs Simon Hallett was joined by his sons James and Ed and Happy Hot tubs continued to go from strength to strength. Now with seven showrooms across the South Coast and the Midlands they are one of the largest hot tub dealerships in the UK and a leading supplier of Hotspring®, Freeflow® and Endless Pools®. Simon, James and Ed are supported by a fantastic team from service engineers and delivery drivers to sales and support every one of them professional and passionate about providing every customer with the best possible experience. Our journey so far
1976
Simon Hallett - HHT Founder - starts in the boat-building industry at Kemp's shipyard, Southampton.
1979
Move to Vosper Thornycroft to spray Fibreglass on mine sweepers for the Navy.
1983
Simon joins Spaform and builds his first hottub - The Hallett family first start to see the benefits of Hot Tubs!
1988
Simon helps grow Spaform selling and repairing spas all over Europe.
1993
Simon leaves Spaform to set up Spa Factory with the aim of becoming the largest hot tub manufacturer in Europe.
1997
Spaform purchases Spa Factory and Simon returns to Spaform as Managing Director.
2000
Spaform suffers a major fire after moving to a new premises in Portsmouth.
2003
Simon leaves Spaform and sets up English Garden Spa Company, manufacturing spas in Florida and later becoming the main importer for Master Spas in Europe.
2005
Simon sees a gap in the online marketplace and starts Hot Tub Care Limited, trading as Happy Hot Tubs, selling hot tub accessories online. Happy Hot Tubs also become the first company in the UK to offer an Annual Service on a hot tub!
2006
Happy Hot Tubs is Born and opens in Cadnam!
2007
Happy Hot Tubs operates in Stockbridge Road, Winchester and starts to sell British made hot tubs, built on site. Our first salesperson, Paul Fisher, worked hard to educate people on the benefits of ownership. Three Legged Cross store opens!
2009
With the recession of 2008 impacting sales and costs of manufacturing going up, Happy Hot Tubs sells the site at Stockbridge Road but continues to rent a small area for storage. Happy Hot Tubs starts to import hot tub covers from China.
2010
After importing a small amount of Three Rivers Spas from the USA, Simon travels to China to source a new range called Astro Spas.
2011
The Cadnam shop goes from strength to strength with the famous Annie working most weekends!
2012
With the 2012 Olympic Summer in full swing, Happy Hot Tubs starts to become the Number 1 choice for customers purchasing hot tub accessories online.
2013
Happy Hot Tubs becomes a Watkins dealer and purchases their first container of Hot Spring Spas.
2014
James returns from Enterprise Car Rental full time after many summers! Happy Hot Tubs exhibits with their biggest stand yet at The New Forest Show. Happy Hot Tubs Fareham showroom and central warehouse is opened.
2015
Happy Hot Tubs take on the Sussex region and open a new showroom location in Worthing. 100 Google Reviews.
2016
Watkins purchase Endless Pools and Happy Hot Tubs becomes a dealer!
2017
Happy Hot Tubs Botley opens. 500 Google Reviews.
2018
Ed returns after many summers, from being an insurance underwriter in the city to manage our online e-commerce business. Happy Hot Tubs Birmingham opens.
2019
Happy Hot Tubs Rowlands Castle opens. Happy Hot Tubs purchases the Happy Hot Dub from Plastica.
2020
Happy Hot Tubs Ditchling opens. The COVID Pandemic effects the world. After the initial quiet period, the phone starts to ring, and with our stores closed we continue to operate online and over the phone. 1000 Google Reviews.
2021
Happy Hot Tubs release our first TV advert and purchase a 2-acre site near Bishops Waltham and rename it “The Happy Farm” . Plus, Happy Hot Tubs host first ever Happy Fest for staff and families
2022
Our new head office is constructed at The Happy Farm, the warehouse moving and all hot tub/ servicing operations move from our Fareham warehouse to The Happy Farm. Our Ditchling and Rowlands Castle Showrooms close.
2023
Our Pale Ale becomes a can with an all new design! 1500 Google Reviews.
2024
Happy Hot Tubs goes green and installs 30KW of solar to main warehouse. Our Fareham warehouse is closed, and e-commerce moves to The Happy Farm. The team continues to grow to 40 with 15 vehicles on the road.
2025
The Happy Farm adds “The Happy Experience Centre” with 3 Endless pools ready to try. Giving customers the chance to try before they buy in a private environment. 2500 Google and Trustpilot Reviews.
