Slow-dissolving chlorine tablets are a popular method of sanitising spa water. By using these tablets as your spa sanitiser you will be 'trickle-feeding' chlorine into your hot tub over a period of days. Your hot tub must be chlorinated at all times. The ideal chlorine level is between 3 parts per million (ppm) and 5ppm.

These are multifunction chlorine tablets with built-in clarifier and algaecide for ultimate water care.

Test the chlorine level in your hot tub daily and immediatley before use. Check your Floating Dispenser at least every 3 days and replenish before tablets are fully dissolved. Typically, these tablets will erode and dissolve slowly over 5 to 7 days depending on your hot tub water temperature and water flow.

FAQs

How many tablets do I put in my dispenser?

Our floating dispenser has a full capacity of about 7 small 20g tablets however we recommend keeping the dispenser topped up with with 3 or 4 tablets for pools and 1 or 2 for hot tubs.

Are these better than granules?

This all comes down to preference. Granules arguably give you a bit more control as you can add more/boost easily but tablets slowly dissolve over a period of time so give you an option that can require a bit less attention, however it is worth noting that hot tubs and swimming pools that run on tablets may still need a shock from time to time. To read more on Granules vs. Tablets, read our blog post.

Will these tablets affect my PH?

Trichlor tablets by nature are acidic so they lower PH in your pool or hot tub over a period of time.
