Relax Granular Shock Chlorine is highly effective at destroying contaminants in water (such as bacteria and body oil) from your spa water.
Shock or 'Super Chlorination' is necessary when you first fill or re-open a hot tub. It is also good to shock treat your hot tub every 2 weeks or more often if heavily used.

Does this work in swimming pools?
Yes, this product is excellent in swimming pools as it is a very strong shock and is able to clear cloudy, green or dirty pools.
How much do I need to add?
To raise chlorine by 10ppm in a 1,000 Litre hot tub, use 15g. See the directions for use tab for full dosing instructions.

- Pre-dissolve the required amount of Relax Granular Shock in a clean, plastic bucket filled with warm water. Stir the solution until the granules are fully dissolved.
- Ensure that your spa circulation pump is turned on before slowly pouring the solution directly onto the spa water surface.
- Continue to run your spa circulation pump for at least 1 hour.
- Repeat treatment if necessary to reach a Chlorine level of between 10ppm and 15ppm.
- Leave spa cover off for 1-2 hours immediatley after adding Relax Granular Shock.
- Water will become cloudy temporarily, keep the circulation/filtration on until the water clears.
- Allow the chlorine level to drop to 5ppm before using your hot tub.
As a general guide, a heaped teaspoon is 8g of granules.
