Relax SPA Brominating Granules are a popular method of sanitising domestic hot tubs. Your hot tub needs to contain sanitiser at all times to keep users safe from bacteria. Bromine granules are great way to boost bromine levels in a hot tub running on bromine tablets or with an in-line system such as Spa Frog.
Why Bromine?
- Bromine produces less of a chemical odur than chlorine.
- Bromine is more stable at higher temperatures, making it perfect for hot tubs.
- Bromine can be re-generated in the water with a shock dose using Non Chlorine Shock or Bromine Granules whereas when Chlorine is used up, it will no longer work to sanitise your hot tub.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE THIS PRODUCT?
Some users will dose weekly to keep bromine levels topped up alongside Bromine Tablets or a Frog system. This product should also be used when Bromine levels get low to keep your Bromine at between 3-5ppm on your test strips. See 'Directions for Use' for more detailed instructions.
Customer Questions
- Test your hot tub water in your spa and make sure it is 4ppm to 6ppm.
- You can pre-dissolve this product in a clean plastic bucket filled with warm water or in hot tubs you can dose directly into the water. If pre-dissolving, stir the solution in the bucket until the granules are fully dissolved.
- Ensure that your hot tub circulation pump is turned on before slowly pouring the solution directly onto your hot tub water surface.
- Continue to run your hot tub circulation pump for 15 minutes.
- Re-test your hot tub water and repeat dosage until Bromine reading is between 4ppm and 6ppm.
- Allow 15 minutes before using your spa again.
