The Hot Spring CoolZone™ System allows you to heat and cool the water in your hot tub — something that is not possible with most spas. Enjoy cold water therapy during the day and a warm soak later that night. The CoolZone system works with your spa's heater to efficiently raise the temperature in less time than with a regular electric hot tub heater.
The CoolZone system, which uses heat pump technology, is up to 3 times more efficient* than traditional spa (electric resistance) heaters. The CoolZone system can help reduce monthly operating costs by heating the water and maintaining the set temperature more efficiently than a standard heater alone.
Coolzone also brings added flexibility and usage options to hot tub ownership. You can bring the temperature down during the warmer months to turn your hot tub into a cool place for the kids to swim and play during the day or a place for you to relax and unwind after working in the garden on a hot summer day. As a result, you will enjoy your hot tub more often throughout the year.
With CoolZone you can chill the water to as low as 15 ºC. The option to bring the temperature of the water down can mean soothing relief for muscles after an intense workout. You can even setup your hot tub to chill in the mornings and heat back up for a nice warm soak in the evening.
The CoolZone system operates like a heat pump system, similar to an air conditioning unit. When cooling, the CoolZone system “pumps” heat out of the spa water and into the surrounding air, and when heating, it “pumps” heat from the air into the water.

No. This product must be fitted by a Hot Spring Dealer and a qualified refrigeration engineer. Note that the price includes installation by a qualified Refrigeration Engineer (within Happy Hot Tubs' Service Area).
No. The Heat Pump Condenser can be installed away from the spa. However, the further from the spa, the more copper tubing, R410 refrigerant, etc. you will need. This could add to the overall installation costs. In addition, you will need enough space around all sides and the top of the Heat Pump Condenser in order to allow for proper airflow into/out of the device (see page 3 of this guide). Contact us if you have additional questions regarding the installation process.
Yes the Coolzone connects and can be controlled by the Hot Spring Connected Spa App.
